There are two types of alopecia: one with normal follicles but disrupted growth cycles, and one where follicles are damaged. The most common in women is androgenetic alopecia. This course focuses on covering alopecia patches at the back and sides of the head. For coverage at the top, we offer separate Crown & Glory and Lace Wig courses, and for men, the Non-Surgical Hair Replacement course. Students must know how to cornrow, as this course teaches two client-suitable coverage methods.
